Dong Ding, also spelled Tung-Ting, is a classic oolong tea from Mountain Dongding in Nantou County, Taiwan. A translation of Dong Ding (冻顶) is "Frozen Summit" or "Icy Peak".
The special climatic conditions of the growing place influence the taste of tea leaves, so the tea is characterized by astringency, saturation and unique aroma. The taste of Dong Ding is fresh, airy and sweet. You can also feel bright fruity-floral notes and distinctive berry hints.
The color of the tea is from light golden to amber. Infusion is clean and transparent. In the mouth you can feel a sweet, gentle aftertaste, in which fruit notes with hints of honey are guessed.
