Alishan GABA tea is named after the mountain peaks of Ali (阿里山 – Alishan), located on the island of Taiwan, in Chiayi County. The raw material for making this delicious beverage, belonging to the oolong type of tea, is collected there. It is produced using the unique technology of GABA, invented by the Japanese professor Dr. Tsushida Tojiro and his collaborators.
Tea is collected and processed manually. Leaves are collected in an ecologically clean protected area. To increase the productivity of the tea bush, no fertilizing is used.
The collected raw material is dried for a while in the sun. Then the tea is subjected to oxygen-free fermentation. This allows to keep all the useful nutrients contained in the Oolong. And most importantly — gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is generated in maximum amount in the tea.
Alishan GABA tea, compensating for the lack of gamma-Aminobutyric acid, has a positive effect on the whole body. Moreover, the regular consumption of this tea stimulates brain activity, improves mental acuity and psychological state.
